Girl Child Education

No girl should live a life filled with discrimination. She should not be denied of her rights. Donate now and send a girl child to school so she can live a better life and achieve her dreams.

Oxfam India has been fighting for the implementation of the Right to Education Act in India, so children especially girls are enrolled in schools and receive quality education.
7-year-old Aarti's* education took a back seat when she was taken out of school to take care of household responsibilities but donations from people like you helped us reach out to Aarti and her parents and convince them about the importance of education in Aarti's life. Today, she has been re-enrolled in standard 3. She is now a Right to Education ambassador and encourages parents to send their children to school. When people like you support girls like Aarti, they become an inspiration for hundreds of other girls. *Name changed to protect the identity.

Your monthly support will help send girls missing from classrooms of India back to school and accomplish their dreams.

Your immediate support will help Oxfam India enrol girls in schools and generate awareness of their rights. When girls stay in school, they are more likely to build an educated and healthier family and earn a better living.
